Pre-Draft/Combine Preparation Program
At NorthStar Sports we provide a full spectrum preparation program for this pivotal testing point in an athlete’s career
that goes above and beyond what other facilities provide. On a technical level, our individualized assessment of an athlete’s neuromuscular functionality includes running mechanics, coordination, proper muscular synergism, proper flexibility, dynamic mobility, neuromuscular stability, core strength, power production as well as coordinating nutritional training, mental preparation and game plan development. When we find imbalances in any of those facets, we work to fix them, ensuring an athlete’s form and method is correct, limiting overuse injuries, maintaining flexibility, proper regeneration and long term health of a professional athlete. Our athletes are always trained by experienced professionals, no exceptions, which we feel is crucial at this point in their developing career. As a result of our individualized and integrated program, athletes not only understand the exercises and drills but understand their body, its athletic potential and how to transfer that awareness into testing and performance on the field. After all, it is their body that produces the level of performance expected in the grueling realm of professional athletics.
On an individual level, we work with a prospective professional athlete adhering to the utmost professional service standards, providing more than just cookie cutter workouts, but rather individually guiding and teaching an athlete how to be a professional and all that it entails. As a result our athletes are not only preparing themselves for the most important test of their athletic career and learning to maximize their performance in the L-drill, pro-agility, 40 yard dash, Bench Press, Vertical and Long Jumps as well as position specific drills, but also learning that increasing performance requires dedication on behalf of themselves and their performance coaches.
